WMS Facebook fan Sarah S. asks: how many characters from THE PRINCESS BRIDE movie will be found in the slot game?
Not all of the characters, but many of them made it into the game. Westley and Buttercup are featured in multiple movie clips, the top glass and act as the top reel symbol. Inigo Montoya is also a top pay reel symbol and is featured in movie clips. Vizzini and Fezzik have their own bonus rounds, while Miracle Max acts as a hidden feature in the Fire Swamp bonus. Many other characters are featured in movie clips that play throughout the game.
Hope D. asks: is there a free spin bonus, and if so will it have a random multiplier?
The Fire Swamp Bonus is a free spin bonus where you first travel to the Forbidden Forest and search for Locked Wilds and a Miracle Max multiplier.
Brian C. asks: how many bonus games are in THE PRINCESS BRIDE slots?
There are three different bonus games. In the Fire Swamp free spins bonus, you can find up to 11 locked wilds and a Miracle Max multiplier worth up to 4x. In the Vizzini bonus, you get to have a battle of wits with Vizzini. In the Fezzik bonus, Fezzik punches the reels and 1 to 5 Wild Reels will fill the screen or a pick from 5 boulders for credit awards.
Do you incorporate the journey through the forbidden (thieves’) forest and the encounter with ROUS’s?
Of course! In the Fire Swamp Bonus you are in the thieves’ forest and ROUS’s are part of the reel frame. We also have a fun clip with the ROUS’s that can play during the game.
Mariano L. asks: how would you describe the volatility of this game?
The base game isn’t overly volatile, but all three bonus games have big upsides that make this a slightly volatile game. Fezzik can turn all 5 reels WILD; defeating Vizzini in the battle of wits will get you a 150x bet win, and getting up to 11 locked wilds at 4x in the Fire Swamp Bonus get you an “Inconceivable” Big Win on each free spin.
How do you decide where to put key scenes from the movie in the game?
We tried to incorporate as much of the movie as possible into the game. One of the three bonus games pits the player against Vizzini in the battle of wits from the movie.
Derek S. asks: any chance you will incorporate the music from the soundtrack into the slot game?
Our Sound Studio created original music for this game that is incredible – I hope that fans of THE PRINCESS BRIDE movie will love the music as much as I do.
Will the six fingered man play a role in the game?
One of the game reel symbols is a six fingered glove and of course we featured Inigo’s famous line when you land a five-in-a-row of Inigo symbols.
What was your favorite part of making this game?
There are so many great lines in THE PRINCESS BRIDE movie that we had to find a way to put as many as possible into the game. What we ended up doing was to award the player with a movie clip as part of the tally screen after you play a bonus. Selecting which 3 – 6 second movie clips would be included in the game had to be my favorite part of making this slot.
Dan P. asks: can we see some behind the scenes design pictures…maybe an artist’s drawing some of the symbols?
How about this behind-the-scenes picture? It’s a mock-up from one of our artists for a bonus round that ended up being cut from the game, featuring the six fingered man.
What do you think THE PRINCESS BRIDE movie fans will most enjoy in this slot game?
The battle of wits with Vizzini is great – after each pick Vizzini taunts you with clips from the movie. It’s also a lot of fun to see Fezzik come on screen and punch the reels. When you find Miracle Max in the Fire Swamp Bonus, not only do you get a multiplier but also classic Miracle Max clips from the movie.
